Pig races are included with the entrance fee, race times are listed below. We had to laugh last year as someone asked “if the pigs enjoyed this”. Pigs are natural competitive aggressive eaters and very smart. All we do to stoke the fire is put cookies at the end of the race track. The first couple of runs are very melodramatic since the pigs haven’t caught on that there are cookies at the end of the track.

We just walk behind them, then reward them with cookies. It only takes a handful of times to figure out what’s going on, and naturally they want to get there first so they can eat all of the cookies, this is why they run. We don’t poke them, we don’t prod or shock them, they do it because, well, they’re pigs! These pigs will learn also that the yell from the crowd means cookie time. Our pig fans will need to know what we call the pig race call, soooey pig!!! This call helps us to load them into their pens and gets them excited for their snack. Every year we get asked if the pigs are for sale. We laugh because yes they are, but as a heads up they will grow to be 300lbs, just as adorable, but not so easy to take care of. We have a good time with the pig races and look forward to seeing everyone circling the track this year!
